Day dedicated to urban trekking to discover the city of Salerno and its surroundings. The program is divided into two parts, the first and second hiking tour.
The hiking route starts from the square of the railway station and continue along the course, penetrating in the historic center of Salerno through the famous Via dei Mercanti, then move away from the town, passing through the so-called Gully, dominated by the magnificent castle Arechi. Going up the hills that mark the beginning of the Amalfi Coast, along a scenic path leading to the Hermitage of S.Liberatore, small monastic structure obtained on the side of the homonymous outcrop overlooking Vietri sul Mare, and on top of which is the large steel cross visible to anyone who travels the roads of this area. The broad view here stretches from south to north, from the plain of Salerno Cava de’ Tirreni.
After a picnic lunch, It falls in Salerno, where it will begin the excursion to the historic center. The view, mainly, It will focus on some monuments: in particular they will reach the cathedral with its Baroque crypt, SS.Annunziata with the bell Sanfeliciano, the church of San Giorgio famous for its paintings by Francesco Solimena, the recovered Palace Fruscione, and based on the time available, It could also include other significant places of this beautiful city.
