About us?

The head office of the G.E.T. - Gruppo Escursionistico Trekking CULTNATURA is located in Rofrano (Salerno), one of the 80 Municipalities of the National Park Cilento and Vallo di Diano.

The G.E.T..’s foundation (8^th September 1998), it was the conclusion of a path started since 1996, when the most part of Founder Members decided to use their know-how got in other plan about the promotion of the Mingardo High Valley, the same where is located Rofrano, just to implent a new experience in nature founding this Association of voluntaries.

The pool of Founder Members was made by Angelo Avagliano, Stella Allocco, Anna Detta, Gianpiero Grippo, Pasquale Lettieri, Mimmo Pandolfo, Carlo Palumbo, Davide Pepe, Tonino Saggiomo, Luigi Scandizzo and, last but no least, the mourning Maria Concetta Venuta.

The G.E.T. CULTNATURA is member of the Federazione Italiana Escursionismo since its foundation, sharing the same objectives about environmental protection and sociality development that it’s possible to realise with the hiking activities.

Lately, overcoming traditional activities as walking, hiking, canyoning and mountain-bike, some G.E.T.’s Members introduced the climbing, thanks to the collaboration with the local Club of Club Alpino Italiano of Celle di Bulgheria (Salerno), and our territory offers several rock walls where is possible to practise this fascinating and no limits activity.

Yearly the G.E.T. publishes an activities calendar with about 40 actions (from hiking in natural environments to cultural visits to the international exchanges with other Clubs of European United Nations) and offers several opportunities to its own Members and friends that want sharing the enjoyment about the knowledge, through the discovery of the real places and the immaterial basins where the different traditions, heritages and cultures are preserved.

Everybody can become Member of the G.E.T. CULTNATURA: it’s required only tolerance and will to share the same experiences in company with other Friends. It’s sufficient sign the form and bring with the backpack and the necessary useful to live a relaxing experience in natural environments or discovering hidden corners of our Country or some destinations in European United Nations, our "common house".

Concluding:

The ascent of a peak requires energies, but all efforts are rewarded by the wonders, the perfumes and the landscapes that surprise the ones who decided to spend just a few hours in contact with nature.
